We carefully select the highest quality products from all over the world. However we are particular about "Made in Japan" for general materials and "Made in France" for perishable/fresh materials such as alcohol, distilled water etc.
How much do eyelash extensions cost?
It all depends on the look and density you desire, if you check out our gallery or book a consultation we can give you the best options for you.
Are your products all vegan and cruelty free?
Yes, all our products are vegan and cruelty free. Of course!
Do all your technicians use the same products?
Yes, everything we use is the same from distilled water to the lashes.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and all major credit cards.
Why don’t you have your phone number on your website?
We don’t advertise our office phone number as we do not take walk ins or appointments over phone. We want to minimse any miss-communication that can happen over the phone due to human error. You can contact us with any questions on hello@kisobeauty.com or visit the online booking page to book your appointment or consultation.
How often do you change your glue?
Every 2 weeks. The reason for this is that the glue we use is of very high standard, however, like all things it has a shelf life. the glue holds your lashes together so its integral to the process, we change it every 2 weeks to ensure that you always have the best quality of product.
Is there a chance I could have any side effects from the glue or materials used?
The chances are very minimal however if any irritation occurs please contact your doctor immediately and inform your technician so she can arrange to remove the lashes for you.
If you suffer from allergies we ask you book a consultation with a technician so we can see what would would be the best process for you as we may slightly alter our method.
The main ingredients in the glue that MAY cause allergies are - Carbon, cyanoacrylate.
What is the difference between method Classic, Hybrid and Volume?
Classic is one extension per natural lash and Volume can be a fan of several extensions per natural lash, Hybrid is a mixture of both for a in between look.
Is your volume lash fan pre-made or handmade?
Our fans are all handmade because premade fans are often not made correctly; too much glue, too heavy, not perfectly spread apart causing them to not sit perfectly on your lashes. With premade fans we cater to your individual lashes rather than a general lash, making them the perfect fit for you.
Will my natural lashes get damaged or fall out?
Absolutely not – if they are applied properly, we take special care to ensure that our lash extensions are all applied individually and correctly to maintain your eyelash health. To ensure the long-term health of your lashes, we highly recommend that you take the advice of your lash technician regarding the maximum thickness and length that your lashes can safely hold. As long as an extension of the appropriate/safe length and thickness has been applied, your natural lashes will continue to grow through a normal lash cycle. Please listen to your lash technicians advice about how long/heavy you should go, especially if you have naturally thin or sparse lashes. Don’t try to remove the eyelash extensions yourself – this could easily damage your natural lashes, as the adhesive bond is extremely strong.
Sometimes clients choose not to take our advice regarding the lashes and do request extra long and thick lashes be applied to their thin or fine natural lashes. We strongly advise against this, as we cannot guarantee that they will last well if they are too long or heavy for your natural lash to support. We will apply the lashes that you request within reason and always advise you if there are any issues. Usually, as a one-off or special occasion wear, extra long or thick lashes will cause no problems at all, but long-term it can weaken your lashes.
My friend said her lashes were damaged?
So sorry for her/him! This can be because they got them done from an inexperienced technician. They can often rush the process and stick your natural lashes together causing damage and pain or maybe they don't even learn the correct process. Sadly this is very common in the lash industry today. So its truly important to chose the best, experience and passionate technician who will give you the best aftercare information so that you can do your part in keeping your lashes healthy. Our aim is to give you beautiful lashes with absolutely minimal damage.
if you are still concerned please do book a consolation so we can go through each step with you in person.
What if I need to cancel an appointment?
Please let us know as soon as possible. Please check our policy page to see our guidelines around cancellations and no shows.
How long do they last? The retention of lashes?
Roughly 4-6 weeks before every lash sheds, you’ll need infills at 2-4 weeks.
It all depends on your natural lash cycle and your aftercare. everyone has a different natural lash cycle so it can really depend. but if you wish to have a 'full' look all the time we recommend doing an infill every 3-4 weeks.
I probably have had bad lashes done. Can you help me?
In most cases YES! Please let us rescue your lashes!
We may not be able to give you lash extensions after removing old ones as the health of your natural lashes may be incredibly weak however we will give you the best advice on how to take care of your natural lashes in the future…. we can remove the old lashes for you but depending on how badly applied they are it can take some time in order to maintain as much natural lash health as possible. there may be some instances where you must seek medical advice.
Are lashes safe when pregnant?
Generally speaking eyelash extensions are completely safe. If you are pregnant and have never had eyelash extensions before please book a consultation session before your appointment.
We will require you to lay flat on your back for over one hour and it is not recommended for women that are heavily pregnant, so with a consultation you will be able to briefly see how comfortable you will be for a full session. We can adjust the beds to see what fits your needs to make the whole experience as comfortable and relaxing as possible for you and the little one.
What if I get them and don't like them?
That is why the consultation is so important to get to know your preferred style and understand your lash conditions.
We will remove them, however you are still required to pay full price and for removal for time and services.
What is the difference between Silk and Mink lash? And other types of lash?
Silk eyelash extensions: All of the lashes we use are man-made fibres (real silk would disintegrate within days) and not hold it’s curl. Silk lashes have a slightly more matte/natural black finish, and the ends are not quite so tapered as faux-mink. We use silk lashes in all of our volume sets because due to their texture, they fan out more than faux-mink.
Faux-mink lash extensions At Kiso: We never will use real mink fur for lash extensions. We use faux-mink lashes, which are man-made fibres, designed to imitate real mink fur. They are very glossy and black in colour and slightly more tapered on the ends.
Flat Lash/Ellipse eyelash extensions: These are a relatively new development, whereby the cross section of the extension is flatter or more oval in shape than traditional eyelash extensions. The benefit is that they provide a thicker, more made up look without any extra weight (each fibre appears wider, though does not actually weigh more than a regular extension). They also last quite well due to their shape. They are not really suited to very natural looks, and are better for those who like a glamorous, darker look. Flat just refers to the cross section of the lash fibre, not the curl. They come in all the same curl types as other lashes.
Synthetic/Acrylic eyelash extensions: These are made from a polished synthetic material and are the firmest/sturdiest of all. In appearance, they are more obvious looking and harder than the mink or silk, and when applied quite thickly, very dramatic. They hold their curl extremely well due to their firmness, but due to this, don’t last as well on the natural lash. Some people don’t find them as ‘soft’ or ‘natural’ looking than silk or mink eyelash extensions, and the thickest type (normally 0.20mm in width) don’t have quite as good staying power as the silk and definitely not the faux mink or flat lashes. These lashes are often the type used party or weekend lashes, as they are cheap. Due to improvements in lash technology, we phased out this type of extension in 2015.

That is completely normal, your natural lashes have a cycle, so when they fall out do not be alarmed, there is a new one growing in place…
I have an event when should I get my lashes done
we recommend getting a full set a few weeks before, so you can trial them and avoid any red eyes on your event date, and then closer to the event come in for a refill, this way if you'd like any changes we can give you the best look

Can I rub my eyes
We would recommend that after having extensions you do not touch your eyes for 24 hours, thereafter it is fine to wash and pat them dry, of course its recommenced to not rub them too much
What products do I avoid when having extensions
Any products that contain OIL as this will eventually break down the glue and cause the lashes to fall out.
